Board Mission Statement:  Work together as one unit to empower the business community and our membership toward business growth.

Board Purpose Statement: The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the organization. This includes a critical role in advancing the mission, impacting organizational financial performance and strategic growth, and shaping a sustainable and relevant future for the Chamber.

When you are on a special mission, it is not always easy to accomplish your goals. Here at the Greater Southwest Black Chamber of Commerce we are extremely grateful to have a loyal and dedicated Board of Directors that are active in the organizational planning and decision-making of its Chamber of Commerce. 

Our Board is not reluctant to making sure that our organization remains financially sound. Our finances are not just about overseeing the budget. It is about understanding how the organization is funded, how fundraising works and participating in that fundraising. The public trusts the board to manage donated funds to fulfill the organization's mission. 

Our Board Members realizes the seriousness of their duties when they agreed to serve on the Board. Again, we are incredibly grateful to have a loyal and dedicated TEAM
